Fence

I wonder how much I missed out by spending too much focus on the fence, instead of the world it encloses.

Time Is Life

20110316-misc-017

The second hand of a clock ticks. But the millisecond hand of a stopwatch flows. It really made me realise that I am actually accelerating towards my inevitable death – with a lot more yet to be accomplished.

By the time. Verily! Man is in loss, except those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth, and recommend one another to patience.

(Surah al-‘Asr, 1—3)

Momentary Reprieve

Bird on railing

Sometimes we just need to stop and relax. Pay your oxygen debt.

You can’t accelerate forever.

Mukhayyam ‘Arabiyy

My group with our instructor after the program ended

Mukhayyam ‘Arabiyy was a great program!

Tamhidi Centre organised an Arabic Literation Program or as it is informally called, Mukhayyam ‘Arabiyy, last weekend in order to improve the Arabic skills among Tamhidians.

It seems that not only linguistic skills that were being improved. For me, at least.

Teaching Life

12/2/2010 - My first day as a teacher at Ibn Khaldun Islamic Secondary School, Shah Alam.

It was a sweet experience being a teacher back in 2010.

I taught life (Biology) and teaching taught me LIFE.

Playing With Knives

Crowd of people at KLCC; shot during KLCC Exploration for PeWARIS VI

They are like children playing with unsheathed dagger.

They might hurt themselves, and that makes you cringe.

You want to take the knives off their hands.

That was how Sayyid Qutb viewed the society, and that is how I viewed them, too. I want to enter His paradise. I want them to enter the paradise, too.

And welcome to my new photoblog.
